Delicious pies combining creamy cheesecake and sweet apple filling, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup apple pie filling, chopped small
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 package refrigerated pie dough (or biscuit dough)
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Optional toppings: caramel sauce or additional powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Roll out the refrigerated dough on a lightly floured surface and cut into circles about 4–6 inches in diameter.
  3. Place about 1 teaspoon of the cheesecake mixture and 1 tablespoon of apple pie filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over to form a half-moon shape, then crimp the edges with a fork to seal.
  4. In a deep skillet or fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry the assembled pies in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove pies from the oil and place on paper towels to drain. While still warm, dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with caramel sauce if desired.

Notes

Make sure not to overfill the pies to prevent leaking during frying. For a baked version, brush with egg wash and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes.
