A delightful and comforting wonton soup that combines savory broth with tender dumplings, perfect for any time of the year.

Ingredients

  • Wonton wrappers
  • Ground pork or chicken
  • Chopped green onions
  • Ginger
  • Garlic
  • Chicken broth
  • Soy sauce
  • Sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground meat with chopped green onions, minced ginger, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place a small spoonful of the mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  3. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half, and pinch the edges to seal.
  4. In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a simmer over medium heat.
  5. Add the wontons gently and cook for about 5-7 minutes until they float.
  6. Stir in soy sauce and sesame oil to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with extra green onions.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, use tofu or shrimp instead of ground meat. Add bok choy or spinach for extra nutrition.
