Delightful rolls flavored with tropical pineapple, perfect for any meal or occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup milk, warmed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add pineapple juice, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture, stirring until well combined.
  3. Gradually mix in flour, a cup at a time, until the dough comes together.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 60 minutes.
  6. Punch down the dough, shape it into rolls, and place them on a greased baking pan. Allow them to rise again for 30-45 minutes.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Brush with melted butter before serving.

Notes

For a softer texture, let your rolls rise for a little longer during both rises. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
