Delightful bars combining sweet peaches and creamy filling, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 can (15 oz) peach slices, drained and chopped
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the cake mix and melted butter. Stir until the mixture forms a crumbly dough.
  3. Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
  4. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and sour cream together until smooth.
  6. Add the granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture and beat until well combined.
  7. Fold in the chopped peaches, then pour the mixture over the cooled crust.
  8. Bake for an additional 30-35 minutes, or until the center is set and lightly golden.
  9. Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

Use fresh peaches for brighter flavor and let the bars cool completely before cutting for neat squares.
