A delightful fusion of peach cobbler and cinnamon rolls, these warm, sweet treats are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups diced peaches (fresh or canned, drained if using canned)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm milk with a pinch of sugar. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add granulated sugar, melted butter, salt, eggs, and flour to the bowl. Pour in the yeast mixture and mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix diced peaches with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Roll out the risen dough into a large rectangle (about 1/4 inch thick). Evenly spread the peach mixture over the dough.
  5. Starting from the long side, tightly roll the dough into a log. Slice into 12 equal rolls and place them in a greased baking dish. Let rise again for 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Bake the rolls for about 25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. While the rolls are baking, prepare frosting by beating cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  9. Once the rolls are done baking, drizzle the frosting over them while still warm.

Notes

Ensure your milk is warm but not hot to properly activate the yeast. For a richer taste, use fresh peaches when in season. You can freeze the rolls for up to 2 months.
