Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Cooked rice for serving
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about a minute until fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce and brown sugar; let the mixture bubble for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add broccoli florets, cover the skillet, and cook for 5-7 minutes, until broccoli is tender.
  6. Serve over cooked rice and garnish with sesame seeds.

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the broccoli; it should remain bright green and slightly crisp. For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or chilies.
