Rich and chocolatey cookies that combine the fudginess of brownies with a crispy edge and soft center. Perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the melted butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl, whisking until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture, stirring well.
  4. Gradually mix in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt until well-combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips if using, for extra decadence.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them out well.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are firm but the center remains soft. Let them cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For softer cookies, do not overbake. Store in an airtight container to keep fresh for up to a week.
