A quick and hearty dish featuring tender beef and vibrant bell peppers in a savory sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound flank or sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper (any color), sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the sliced steak with soy sauce and cornstarch. Allow it to marinate for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the marinated steak and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned.
  4. Add sliced bell pepper, onion, and garlic to the pan. Stir-fry everything for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

Using high heat allows the steak to sear properly. A non-stick or cast-iron skillet works best. Don’t overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary.
