A delicious twist on traditional lasagna, these roll ups are filled with cheese and savory sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or spinach (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, one cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread a little marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. On each lasagna noodle, spread a generous layer of the cheese mixture and a spoonful of marinara.
  6. Roll the noodle tightly and place it seam-side down in the baking dish.
  7. Pour the remaining marinara sauce on top and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until bubbly.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding roasted vegetables like zucchini or mushrooms to the filling.
