Ingredients
Scale
1 sheet of puff pastry
2 large onions, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup goat cheese, crumbled
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh herbs (like thyme or rosemary) for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and caramelized, about 20-25 minutes.
Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to fit your baking sheet. Transfer it to the sheet and cut it into squares or rectangles.
Spoon the caramelized onions evenly over the pastry.
Crumble the goat cheese on top and season with salt and pepper.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the pastry is golden and puffed.
Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
