  • 4 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • Fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, and parsley)
  • 2 cups chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Remove the turkey from packaging and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Rub the turkey with olive oil or melted butter.
  4. Season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, ensuring to get every nook and cranny.
  5. Stuff the cavity with fresh herbs and pour chicken broth into the roasting pan.
  6. Roast the turkey in the oven, cooking for about 13-15 minutes per pound.
  7. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature; it should read 165°F (75°C) when done.
  8. Let it rest for at least 20 minutes before carving.

Notes

For the most succulent turkey, avoid opening the oven door too often to check on your bird. A roasting pan with a rack allows for even heat circulation.
